7 A Review on Adaptive Modulation and Turbo Coding in LTE
Kajal Bambole, Rutuja Deshmukh, Dr. Neelam D. Deshmukh
Abstract – The LTE standard uses three different modulation schemes to adapt to various channel conditions in order to improve achievable data rates. These modulation schemes are the QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM. This paper presents an overview of a LTE digital communication system Simulink model, designed in order to study the effects of the QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM modulation schemes on the BER performance with an AWGN channel model. Different subsystems within the transmitter and receiver blocks are implemented in Simulink. It is noted that the LTE system uses Turbo channel coding and bit level scrambling to offer reliable and secure services to the users. Depending on the assumed channel condition (clear, medium clear or noisy), the 64-QAM, 16-QAM or QPSK modulation scheme, on the transmitter side; as well as the corresponding demodulation scheme, on the receiver side; are automatically selected. Based on the recovered data bits, the obtained bit error rates are analysed, compared and discussed.

8 Reducing Routing Overhead in Mobile Ad Hoc Network by Using NCPR Protocol Along With Clustering Technique
Ashwini Sable, Ashwini Bhople
Abstract – There exists the link breakages in the Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET’s) because of high mobility of nodes in MANET. The link breakages in MANET can lead to the several path failure and route discoveries [1]. It is not possible to neglect the overhead of route discoveries. In route discovery, broadcasting is fundamental and defective data dissemination mechanism. Due to high mobility of nodes in MANET there is no static topology, which lead to the frequent link breakages while route discovery. Thus link breakage problem cause an interruption in data transmission that raises routing overhead issue, because of which end-to-end delay of network increases, whereas packet delivery ratio and throughput is decreased. In this paper we propose a solution, to reduce the routing overhead by using NCPR algorithm and NCPR protocol along with clustering technique (NCPR-WC). Basically NCPR Protocol are used to find uncovered nodes in network.

Abstract – Many power generation plants in the pulp and paper industry are faced with high maintenance and down time due to the excitation system. In this project the design and simulation of a Neuro-fuzzy based voltage controller for regulating the output voltage of a synchronous generator is carried out. An automated Neuro-fuzzy logic based control strategy is presented for controlling the armature voltage of the synchronous generator by varying its field voltage. The controller makes an intelligent decision on the amount of field voltage that should be applied to the generator in order to keep the output voltage at its rated value. The control algorithm is implemented in MATLAB. The performance of the Neuro-fuzzy logic controller is compared with a conventional PI controller and also a fuzzy logic controller (FLC). It is observed that Neuro-fuzzy logic controller gives better performance than either of the two controllers.

15 Analysis of Non-Invasive Pulse Oximetry with Single Light Source Using Fourier series And Soft Computing Techniques
T.Jayakumar, M.Prabu, K.Tamilselvan
Abstract – Pulse oximetry is a methodology by which the oxygen content in the blood could be measured. It is necessary to analyze the patient’s conditions in the intensive care unit especially during anaesthesia. The conventional pulse oximetry uses two light sources to determine the oxygen content. In the proposed method with the help of single light source the oxygen content is measured. Multi-color LED is used to produce blue and red color. Artifact free photoplethysmographic (PPG) signals are necessary for non-invasive estimation of oxygen saturation (SpO2) in arterial blood. Movement of a patient corrupts the PPGs with motion artifacts, resulting in large errors in the computation of Sp02. In this paper we propose a study on using Kalman Filter in an innovative way by modeling both the Artillery Blood Pressure (ABP) and the unwanted signal, additive motion artifact, to reduce motion artifacts from corrupted PPG signals. Simulation results show acceptable performance, thus establishing the efficacy of the proposed method. The type of hypoxia will be determined by means of the soft computing techniques. The ANFIS network is trained with the spectral density and the Body Mass Index (BMI). Thus, the ANFIS will classify the hypoxia. In addition to that the overall cost of the system can be reduced by using the single light source.

Dhiraj Agrawal, Sanjeev B.Patil
Abstract – The proposed method of image fusion uses the wavelet principal component analysis (WPCA),fast discrete curvelet transform(FDCT), Biorthgonal wavelet transform(BWT) for decomposing and reconstruction of the source images. The overall fusion scheme based on method of wavelet transform .Firstly, we decompose source images of same scene using any of one BWT,WPCA,FDCT wavelet transform and then coefficients obtained are merged using absolute maximum selection fusion rule. We have used wavelet and scaling functions used in wavelet transorm for decomposition of source images. The selection of proper wavelet for decomposition varies from application to application. Although vanishing moment and regularity (smoothness) of wavelet can be considered to decide wavelet function. For image fusion application, selection of wavelet with sufficient vanishing moment is desired. Therefore, we have used wavelet filters to get desired number of vanishing moments. The coefficients obtained by decomposition of source images are fused using absolute maximum fusion rule. Image fusion is to combine relevant information from two or more images of the same scene into a single composite image which is more informative and is more suitable for human and machine perception, medical and satellite applications. Experimental results are compare on basis of performance matric include mean square error(MSE),peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR),entropy(EN),processing time required for image fusion. WPCA and FDCT shows more efficient results.

25 Semantic based Crawling for Automated Service Discovery and Categorization of Web Services in Digital Environment
Vaibhav V. Sawant, Dr. Vijay R. Ghorpade
Abstract – A vast majority of web services exist without explicit associated semantic descriptions. As a result many services that are relevant to a specific user service request may not be considered during service discovery. In this paper, we address the issue of web service discovery given no explicit service description semantics that match a specific service request. Our approach to semantic based web service discovery involves semantic-based service categorization and semantic enhancement of the service request in digital environment. A solution for achieving functional level service categorization based on an ontology framework is proposed. Additionally, clustering is utilized for accurately classifying the web services based on service functionality. The semantic-based categorization is performed offline at the universal description discovery and integration (UDDI). The semantic enhancement of the service request achieves a better matching with relevant services. The service request enhancement involves expansion of additional terms (retrieved from ontology) that are deemed relevant for the requested functionality. In this paper semantic matching between content of downloaded web page and ontology is used to guide the crawler towards relevant information. The experimental results validate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed approach. In order to thoroughly evaluate the performance of proposed crawling technique, measures such as harvest rate, precision, recall, Fallout rate will be calculated.

Nilesh.S.Mogare, Yuvraj B. Chaudhari
Abstract – In machine tool applications it is often required to lift heavy work-pieces using conventional winches or chain blocks which may require two or more workers for loading the work- piece on to machine which is rather contradictory to the one man-multi machine concept. Hence there is a need of zero slip lifting devices which will be operated by the machine operator himself without any other aid or assistance. Self-locking characteristics is required in case of this device in order to be sure that the loads on the output side of the system cannot change position without input from the operator to prevent damage to the machine table if the work-piece drops on to it . Worm gears are one of the few gear systems that can be made self-locking, but at the expense of efficiency, they seldom exceed 45% efficiency, when madeself-locking. Proposed system will be designed by developing twin worm system in form of external threaded worm and internal threaded ring with view to develop a zero slip winch system to be operated using 12 Volt DC PMDC motor .Objectives of project are design of mathematical model of twin worm system with internal threaded ring system for maximum load lifting capacity , maximum factor of safety & maximum efficiency for reduced power consumption. The experimental validation part of the lifting force developed by the twin worm system be validated using test-rig developed and performance characteristics of torque, Power and efficiency Vs Speed will be plotted.

Abstract – In this work, ten polluted sites with oil were obtained from Niger Delta, mixed homogenously with compost manure and sent to FUGRO International Laboratory PortHarcourt Nigeria, for bioremediation experiments and analyses. The 4800g sample was divided into twelve (12) equal parts of 400g for bioremediation; 6 parts for the experiments and 6 parts for the control. Particular ringed PAH was isolatedly tested for bioremediation for each of the five ringed PAHs (1 to 5 rings) and the 800g sample was used for respiration test of compost incubation. It was found that the efficiency of bioremediation increased from one to three rings and decreased exponentially for the rest of the rings, showing that bioremediation is not effective for higher ring PAHs. It was also found that bioremediation yields best (optimum) result between two and three ringed PAHs. The respiration of the compost microorganisms improved during incubation by more than two-third i.e 67.7%. The result of this work can be used in bioremediation studies when trying to isolate or choose a particular ringed PAHs for such bioremediation jobs.

Utkarsha Tiwari, Anand Vardhan Bhalla, Rajendra Patel
Abstract – Now-a-days the requirements of wireless communication are to have high voice quality, high data rates, multimedia features, lightweight communication devices etc. But the wireless communication channel suffers from much impairment. One of them is fading which is due to the effect of multiple propagation paths, and the rapid movement of mobile communication devices. In a typical wireless communication environment, multiple propagation paths often exist from a transmitter to a receiver due to scattering by different objects. Signal copies following different paths can undergo different attenuation, distortions, delays and phase shifts. So, this is necessary to reduce the problem of fading, but not at the cost of additional bandwidth. One effective solution is proposed for wireless system named diversity, without the requirement of extra bandwidth. This paper deals with the Rayleigh flat fading channel and to overcome the effect of fading, diversity is used at the transmitter to get good signal at the receiver diversity combining technique Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC) is used for improving the overall performance of the communication system. The diversity is used to provide the receiver with several replicas of the same signal. Diversity technique is used to improve the performance of the radio channel.

Ankit Koshta, Dr. Shailza Verma, M K Koshta
Abstract – The biomedical waste increases day by day due to growth in population results in increased number and sizes of hospitals and pathology labs as well as increased use of disposable medical products etc. The hospital wastes are infectious wastes which if not properly managed and disposed of pose a great health risk. Besides it may lead to environmental pollution and resulting the scarcity of natural resources. According to a report of WHO(2011) at the global level, 18–64% of HCFs are reported to have unsatisfactory BMW management; predictors include lack of awareness, insufficient resources, and poor disposal. An appropriate strategy for safe management of BMW needs integrating technical, financial, institutional, managerial, social and environmental issues. Jabalpur is a growing city of Madhya Pradesh. In Jabalpur Elite Engineers (CBMWTF) covered 198 health care facilities from Jabalpur and Katni city, Still, the BMW generators are yet to get enrolled to utilize this offsite facility. The present study aims to identify the present scenario about the awareness and knowledge of disposing the biomedical waste management in Jabalpur city by conducting a survey research and further data were analysed to find the problems and their measures accordingly.

41 Performance Analysis of Various Classification Algorithm for Lung Disease Detection Using Genetic Algorithm
A.Tamilmozhi, Dr.N.Sujatha
Abstract – In recent days, detecting and classifying the lung disease in a Computed Tomography (CT) image is an important and demanding task. For this purpose, many classification techniques are proposed in the existing works. But, it has some drawbacks such as, inaccurate, not efficient and misclassified results. In order to overcome all these issues, a new classification technique is proposed in this work for lung disease detection and classification. At first, the given lung image is preprocessed by using the median filtering technique to remove the unwanted noise in the image. Then, the features of the filtered image will be segmented by applying the morphological, Fusion Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) and Walsh-Hadamard Transform (WHT) techniques. The features of the segmented image are extracted by applying the Gabor transformation technique. Then, the optimal features of the image are selected with the help of the Genetic Algorithm (GA). Finally, the normal and abnormal images are classified by applying the classification technique. In this work, there are three different classification techniques includes, Support Vector Machine (SVM), Naïve Bayes (NB) and Back Propagation (BP) are applied. The main intention of this paper is to select the suitable and accurate classification technique for accurate lung disease classification. The experimental results evaluate the performance of the proposed system in terms of Precision, Recall, F-Measure and condition probability.

42 Comparative Analysis of Various Classification Algorithms for Skin Cancer Detection
M. Amirjahan, Dr.N.Sujatha
Abstract – Melanoma is one of the skin cancer types that develop the pigment-containing cells refer melanocytes. The collection of Melanoma images plays the major role in skin cancer detection. Traditionally, the enhancement of Melanoma images highlight the affected portion or the defect areas effectively with four methods such as affine detectors-based feature extraction, segmentation of tumorous portions, color constancy and patches. The evolution of automated dermatological diagnostic system supports the medical discipline analysis and the skin anomalies. This paper presents a detailed comparative analysis for classification algorithms used in skin disease analysis. This paper proposes the novel two dependent processes such as skin anomalies detection and disease identification. Initially, high resolution images are gathered from the patient history and proceed the sequential image processing techniques such Gaussian filtering, image enhancement, Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) feature extraction and the classification. Besides, the comparative analysis between the various classifiers such as C4.5, Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Classification and Regression Trees (CART) to predict the efficient classifier. A novel approach presented in this paper efficiently improves the skin detection and disease identification accuracy compared to existing techniques.

43 Thermodynamic Stability Analysis of Y-PSZ Coated Diesel Engine Piston over the Bond Coat of Alumina
Hina Akhtar, Komal Rawat, Jaya Verma Negi, Ravi Kumar, Vinod Kumar
Abstract – This paper deals with the investigation of plasma sprayed Yttria partially stabilized zirconia (Y-PSZ) as thermal barrier coating (TBC). The thermal barrier coating, as the name suggests, is a coating of material of low thermal conductivity value, low enough to make it capable to reduce heat from the hot working fluid to penetrate into the substrate in high temperature applications like internal combustion engines, gas turbines etc. The investigation has been made in terms of thermal behavior of plasma sprayed Y-PSZ coating over aluminum (12 % by wt. Si) substrate using intermediate bond coat of Al2O3. The results indicate that Y-PSZ/Al2O3 TBC set up is highly effective in lowering the temperatures within the substrate, thereby increasing thermal efficiency of the system. A particular TBC thickness performs more effectively at elevated operated temperatures and for a particular convection conditions system, thicker layer of TBC gives better results than a thinner one.

Dinesh Kumar, Upasana Sharma, Shweta Solanki
Abstract – Speech in humans is generated by a series of formants generated by the resonances in the nasal, pharyngeal and vocal tracts. Linear prediction of speech is one of the most widely used techniques for analysis of speech samples. Voice stress analysis as a field of study holds immense importance to human life. Stress analysis has been used in critical situation endangering life and in several medical scenarios as well. This paper uses Linear Predictive Coding (LPC) to analyse the stress levels in the voice samples by comparing them to existing samples and outputting a human emotion.

45 Modeling and Finite Element Analysis of Flywheel Ring Gear & Starter Motor Pinion
Parag Vyankatrao Thote
Abstract – Gears are the most important parts of Mechanical system they are generally used to transmission power from one shaft to another depending on application they are available with different type of tooth profiles. In all spur gears are the most preferred type of gear because of simplicity of use & manufacturing with high degree of transmission efficiency. The gears are generally fails when the working stress exceeds the maximum permissible stress and if we want to design a healthy system with defined performance efficiency through working life cycles, it is important to predict stresses developed & effectively reduce them. When concerning about starter motor, pinion is the element which damage mostly because of the unusual engagement with flywheel ring gear. In this paper an attempt is made to predict static stresses and deformation of tooth in contact, after determination of predictions the system is modified in order to study its effect on stresses developed and deformation observed over original working geometry. As the gear tooth engagement of the system is unlikely different from normal types of system of gears in mesh, the tooth tip deforms at higher rate because of abrupt contact with tooth of another gear. A professional tool (ANSYS 16.0) is used to carry finite element analysis. Most of the previous research work studied elaborates the practical ability of finite element analysis (FEA) for study of gears in mesh.

46 A Comparative Analysis of VANETS Simulator
Ranbir Singh Batth, Kulwinder Singh Mann
Abstract – Simulation is performed by taking description of experiments and running episodes and executing models so that the behavior of the objects is reflected in the real time basis, without exposing any danger or risk to experimenter. The high cost and extensive labor along with high danger is involved while deploying and testing the real time experiments of Vehicular ad-hoc Networks (VANETs). In other words, simulation is one of the most useful alternatives to test an approach on the machine to avoid potential dangers, realize the experiments results and the behavior in the real world, prior to actual implementation. In order to simulate a VANET, simulation environment consisted of both a network and traffic simulator for smooth functioning. This chapter discusses challenges faced by VANET simulation, Vehicular Mobility Models, the vehicular traffic generator, the network simulator and the use of these tools in VANET simulation. In particular, in this article various software characteristics, graphical user interface (GUI), popularity, ease of use, input requirements, output visualization capability, accuracy of simulation, etc. is discussed and compared. In this manuscript it has been concluded that a good simulation environment for VANETs, refinements and further contributions are needed before they can be widely used by the research community.
